The European Conference on Information Literacy (ECIL) 2025, held under the theme \u201cInformation Literacy in an AI-driven World,\u201d<\/em> once again brought together researchers, educators, librarians, media specialists, and policy makers from across the globe. Among the many contributions, the NEED project team had the privilege of presenting both a workshop and a poster session, sharing creative ways of teaching and assessing news literacy in today\u2019s fast-changing information environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop<\/strong> invited participants to dive into game-based learning by trying out the board games developed within the project. Rolling dice, answering questions, and exchanging reflections, attendees experienced first-hand how play can turn into a powerful educational tool. The session created a lively, collaborative atmosphere and opened space for conversations on how such games could be adapted to classrooms, libraries, and professional training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The poster presentation<\/strong> complemented the workshop by extending the discussion into the informal spaces of the conference. Positioned among a diverse range of projects, the NEED poster drew steady interest, starting exchanges with colleagues who were curious about the methodology, eager to explore the online learning platform, or looking for ideas to integrate similar approaches in their own contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the NEED partners, ECIL 2025 was not only a chance to present results but also an inspiring opportunity to engage in dialogue with a global community committed to building resilience in an AI-driven world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
